As a teenager, the Robert Lansdburg feature in National Geographic made me very keen to study geology and specialise as a volcanologist. It also made my parents similarly keen to discourage that idea.

Very interesting list, and, yes, the usual suspects in the ‘great photographers’ lists are definitely overexposed by now.
