But, I have to wonder if just using them on my familiar, smaller, very good mirror less and printing to the Fuji film instax sp-3 wouldn’t be a better option and more economical (no wasted prints) ? Just not so instant, which of course is the ‘charm.’

Plus a built-in light meter and clean design? Looks like a real winner—and the amazing support well-beyond their Kickstarter goal proves that people want it. So happy to see this.

Hey, sorry about that! I’ve corrected the two typos where SL660 was mistakenly entered as SL66. Thanks! In addition, you’re spot on regarding the Rollei SL66. I wrote an article about that rather amazing camera a couple of years ago; here if you want to see – https://casualphotophile.com/2020/10/18/rolleiflex-sl66-camera-review/

A couple of times in the article, a typo has occured resulting in the camera being called the SL66. The SL66 is actually a classic camera introduved by Rolleiflex back in 1966, hence the name. It was and probably still is, the most remarkable film SLR ever made, featuring bellows focusing, lens tilt +- 8 degrees, reversible Carl Zeiss lenses. I have one of the later models with electronic metering and it would be sad to see the SL660 confused with that.

Then I saw the photo of my beloved Pentax-FA 77 mounted on the camera. Hmm, if I could also use my Super Takumar 50 f/1.4, this might be a fun camera for those instant memories at family get togethers or when I want to make some Polaroid-like prints. If it works as advertised, I’d probably use it more than my SX-70 solely because I could have fun with my old lenses.

Cheers,
Ned
