For sure, but not yet available in Nikon Z mount, and I doubt it ever will be.

Zeiss makes great lenses, but I don’t know if it’s really fair or useful to compare Nikon’s new Z series lenses to Zeiss’ lenses. To start, the Zeiss Distagon is manual focus only, it’s not available in Nikon Z Mount, and its maximum aperture is f/2.8 compared to the Nikkor’s f/1.8. The closest (I think) that we get for comparison to the Nikkor in a Zeiss lens is the Batis Series of autofocus Zeiss lenses for Sony A mount, but the closest focal length to this 20mm in that range is the Zeiss 25mm f/2, I believe. So not very comparable to this lens, and not relevant to people who are shooting a Nikon Z Series camera.

I’d love to see Zeiss make some new, modern autofocus lenses for Canon and Nikon mirror-less cameras. I think the days of Sony being the defacto full frame mirrorless system are over, and Zeiss should diversify their offerings.
