To Our Readers,
For those of you who follow CASUAL PHOTOPHILE’s social media pages (Ello, Facebook, and Instagram, specifically), you’ll have already seen my post regarding the noted absence of updates this past week. But for those of you who’ve not seen these posts, I wanted to address it directly on the site with a quick status update.
For the most part, CP is a one-man-operation, and for every day during the past year I’ve been solely focused on building this site. Readership has increased exponentially in this time (thanks to all of you) and I’ve continued to expand and cultivate CP into what I hope will become the best and most engaging online resource for classic cameras and camera culture.
That said, you’ll likely have noticed that the site hasn’t updated in more than a week. Fear not. We’re not going anywhere, and I wouldn’t neglect the site without good reason.
This past week saw the occurrence of a profound event for myself and my family. We’re happy to let all of you know that my wife and I have had our first child, a baby girl named Siena.
The well-wishes and encouraging comments on our social media platforms have been phenomenally kind and supportive, and they’ve further invigorated my love for the people who visit the site and allow me to share in their hobby.
I spend an incredible amount of my free time building this site with the hope that people out there in the big world will enjoy what they find here, and it’s so amazing whenever I get the chance to hear back from you.
So from CP (and the people who make it work) to all of you who visit the site, thanks so much for being so excellent.
Beginning Monday we’ll be back to business with our usual content. Hoping you’ll look forward to it.
Sincerely,
James Tocchio, Founder
Congratulations James, I’m happy to know you are in middle of a giant time of happiness in your life and I’m sure your daughter have in you a great and talented father.
Best wishes from Peru,
Francis.
