In reply to Joel Goodman. Hi Joel, If you can give me the approximate year I can do some sleuthing. It shouldn't be too hard to hone in on the model. The self-rolled film for undersized cassettes is a big clue. Possibly a Minox subminiature camera. The green case might point to an old Kodak camera. You can also email me and we can work on it. Trying to identify a camera.

About 40 years ago I swapped a German 35mm range finder camera for a lens when I was doing photography. The camera was relatively small, and it required self rolled film for its undersized cassettes. It was a sort of “spy camera.” The speed was either f2 or 1.8, and I know it was very high quality from its build and I received it from a US Army WW2 photographer who was later stationed in Berlin circa 1948. All I can remember is that it had a green soft case.

I soon regretted having swapped the camera, as I needed a small quiet camera for some shooting I was doing, and the SLR made a bit too much noise.

If anyone has any ideas about what camera this might have been, I’d appreciate getting the info

The Yashica Electro 35 CC’s lens is radioactive, you might want to factor that in when deciding whether to get it.
