I’m the owner of the Meyerowitz book, so I’ll answer you on that one. I bought my copy last year on Amazon (yeah, sorry, I know) and I got it for 40 euros. I guess the additional $360 was probably because of the autograph. I got the book because he was a photographer I was aware of, but never really investigated too deeply. And it turned out being a really impressive, interesting retrospective. I also bought Snaps, which I think was 50 euros, in a art book store. That was one of the best 50 notes I ever handed over. Almost every shot in that book (and it’s a beast) is fantastic.

A signed copy of “Where I find Myself” by Joel Meyerowitz sells for $399.00 on Amazon. I think you need to write more about why you recommend that book or provide another link. Actually I’d like to know more about why you recommend those specific books.

The hood is useless when it’s reversed on the lens. Mount it correctly and use the UV filter for protection. Easier to replace a $20.00 filter than an expensive lens.
Books: Any book on the French humanist photographers (other than H C-B.) Explore the work of David Douglas Duncan. Find small book publishers; they put out some great work. My favorite is Hoxton Mini Press out of East London, UK.
I’d like to hear from other people and their favorite goodies!
Thanks for your list.

Originally people said ‘air ticket’ but I find I don’t even need to go far, just somewhere…different…
